Kissing the Bear On Its Nose
Ingela is so amazing... no matter what happens to her in her life, she embraces it as if it were a lover, a long lost friend. I saw this picture of an illustration by the great Swedish artist, John Bauer, and it made me think of her, meeting the obstacles of life, and kissing them on their nose. For example, the entire heating system of her home just broke and it will cost her 100,000 Krona to fix. It will take all her savings and she is just fine with it. So many people would be complaining, or worried, but she sees everything as an adventure of life, another opportunity to grow in thankfulness and trust that Life is bigger than all these passing things, and that trust, thankfulness, wonder and love are far more important at all times.
Because her heart is fixed here, in these living qualities... like the little princess in the picture above, she shines with them, and by embracing with love the difficult experiences of life that would trouble others — they embrace her back.
